Brenda L. Reynolds, CPA
Brenda has been with the firm as a Principal since Tighe, Kress and Orr P.C. purchased the accounting firm of Michael C. Walsh P.C. in September 2007. Her area of concentration is in accounting, general business planning and tax consulting for individuals and businesses.
Prior to joining Tighe, Kress & Orr, Brenda was with Michael C Walsh P.C. for 24 years. Brenda believes in maintaining close relationships with each of her clients and their businesses. For many years, she has worked with many different businesses in various industries within the local area, which has enabled her to bring a mix of consulting ideas to the table.
Brenda’s accomplishments include working hand in hand with her clients to create a real-time accounting environment which enables the client to make more informed decisions. In many cases, she has had to create the profit and loss and balance sheet from bank statements, credit card statements, and receipts. She has handled complex compliance and consulting in the tax areas of: C-Corporation, S Corporation, Partnership, Not-For-Profit, Trust, Estate and Individual. Her attention-to-detail and vast knowledge of tax has, in many cases, substantially decreased the tax liability owed. Brenda is an expert in payroll and sales tax. She has a vast knowledge of 1031 and 1033 exchanges and has coached many clients through them.
Brenda was a life long resident of South Elgin, Illinois until she semi-retired in April of 2014, when her and her husband Steve moved to Georgia to be closer to their two daughters and their families. Brenda particularly enjoys tax season and will continue to come back to Tighe, Kress and Orr, P.C. each year to work with new clients and clients she has worked with for years.
While not working in tax season, Brenda and Steve are enjoying their new life and spending more time with their daughters, son-in-laws and four grandchildren. More recently they have been doing some traveling so that they can see some of the beauty the United States holds.
